Halo: Reach Covenant Dance Party (Continued)

That is right curious readers! There is more to the Covenant Dance Party!

There is a way to get a different song if you don't like “Never Surrender.” If you don't kill anyone or destroy the jammer you can make your way back to the Falcon and fly to the top of the tower of the Club you are at. Land on the top near the left side. Exit the Falcon and make your way to the metal ventilation ducts. You will see another switch! Yays! Activate it and return to your Falcon and drive it back to the bottom of the tower land. And make your way back to the dance room. “Siege of Madrigal” will now be playing. It still has a pumping bass line but is a slower piece that has actually been a part of every major Halo game. Same rules apply as before for making the music stop. I would suggest killing a Brute to stop the music and kill everybody because they do not fight back until one of them is killed and taking out one of the strongest makes your life easier. And for me the music just stopped but the grunts still danced but the Brutes attacked me. Still was really easy to take care of everything.

Halo: Reach Covenant Dance Party

In Halo Reach there have been several Easter Eggs that have been discovered so far, including the Covenant Dance Party, seeing Master Chief in the game, and the Devotion Room. This post is devoted to the Covenant Dance Party.

The Covenant Dance party has very little difficulty to accomplish it but you have to know what to do. This Easter Egg is on New Alexandria, the level where you use the Falcon for transportation and start off in a hospital. Remember the hospital is. Go through the level until you get to get to Club Errera . Approach it but do not land. Turn around and go back to the hospital. On the left tower and down some, there is a small plaza that has two trees on it. Land on the plaza and get out of the Falcon and go to the door. There should be a small button on the wall. Activate it and return to the Falcon and go back to the plaza. Destroy any defenses that exist outside. Land and make your way into the plaza. DO NOT KILL ANYBODY! You will start hearing the song “Never Surrender” from Halo 2. As you pass by your first Grunt... who is DANCING! The Grunt is flailing to the music! Now go down 2 levels of staircases and you will see a Brute. Who is the DJ! You will see him spinning the records and fist pumping to his hearts content. Go to either side of the Club and you will see a Brute standing at a table looking like a stereotypical bartender with a few drinks nearby with one arm resting on the table. You could literally stand here for an hour and just watch the flailing Grunts, or you could finish your mission by overloading the jammer which will cause the music to stop abruptly which causes the Covenant to attack you. Either way your in for a good time

The Halo World

The Halo Story-line is full of myths, power, and, of course, explosions.

The Halo story-line starts long before Master Chief. Thousands of years before Halo: Reach, the galaxy was controlled by a race known as the Forerunners. The Forerunners were intelligent beyond comprehension and used their super advanced technology to protect life on all of the worlds... until they were caught off guard by a parasitic alien race known as the Flood. The Flood, which spread by infesting sentient life, soon overtook many planets before the Forerunners were able to stop them. To try to stop this threat, the Forerunners constructed 7 massive ring-like structures known as Halos. These Halos could wipe out all sentient life in the galaxy and after much delay; The Forerunners activated the Halo Array and vanished without a trace.

Thousands of years later, humanity has colonized most planets in the galaxy thanks to faster than light slipstream technology. Soon long felt tensions between the stable inner colonies and the remote outer colonies spark a civil war.  So the United Nations Space Command decides to create super-soldiers known as Spartans. These Spartans are abducted at a young age, disciplined, trained, mutated and finally given the coolest and most effective armor known to man to become the ultimate fighting machines. The Spartans are used to covertly take down rebels from the outer galaxy.

However in 2525 the colony harvest is attacked by a group of alien races with a religion lead system of government that are known as the Covenant. The Covenant leaders declared that humans were a threat to their gods- the Forerunners. The Covenant began quickly wiping out the colonies. The Spartans switched their focus to destroying the Covenant, even though the Spartans were at a severe technological disadvantage and lost next to all encounters with the Covenant. The Covenant are soon left with the last major UNSC outpost to deal with, Reach, where Master Chief is stationed. As one of the last Spartans alive, Spartan-117 (commonly known as Master Chief after all other known Spartans are killed) is able to escape on the Pillar of Autumn  before the attack and entered slipspace heading into unknown coordinates. Master Chief lands on one of the Halos where the Covenant accidently releases the deadly Flood. The Halo's caretaker 343 Guilty Spark attempts to stop the Flood by asking Master Chief to activate the Halo. Cortana, Master Chief's personal AI, reveals that that would wipe out the galaxy of all sentient life if he did. So, Master Chief decides to go back to the Pillar of Autumn and self destructs the ships engines and escapes to Earth as the ships explosion destroys the Halo.

Master Chief Arrives at Earth after a small Covenant fleet was repressed except for a ship with the Prophet of Regret on it. Regret goes through slipspace with Master Chief right behind him. Regret takes Master Chief to another Halo where Master Chief kills Regret after the Halo is activated. Master Chiefm, however, aborts the Halo from firing which puts all Halos on standby mode to be fired- Halos on standby can all be fired at The Ark. Civil war erupts in the Covenant between the different alien races. A group of Elites led by the Arbiter, find out that the activation of a Halo ring would kill all sentient life in the galaxy and join forces with the humans to stop the Covenant from activating the rings.

Master Chief arrives back at Earth after the Covenant had launched a full-fledged invasion where the Covenant were able to excavate a Forerunner artifact that creates a slipspace portal to the Ark. Master Chief and the Arbiter go through the slipspace and arrive at the Ark where they kill the last major leader of thee Covenant, High Prophet Truth. They also learn that the Ark is creating another Halo ring to replace the one that was destroyed. Master Chief decides to activate the incomplete Halo which will destroy the ring and finally kill the Flood (FINALLY) but also spare the galaxy from being wiped out. His plan succeeds and The Halo successfully fires, blowing itself up and damaging the Ark. The Arbiter and Master Chief escape on a ship but the blast tears the ship in half sending The Arbiter to Earth but Master Chief began drifting in space in a Cryo pod waiting to be found.
That is the story so far, will more be added? We can only wait and see.

Halo: Reach Multiplayer

Reach features loadouts, which allow players to pick a predefined choice of armor abilities and weapons at spawn time. The veto system has been improved, allowing players to vote for their preferred map and game mode out of a few choices. You are now rewarded with credits (even when not online), which you can spend on aesthetic armor customizations. Players can also choose the gender of their Spartan and almost all armor settings and investments translate across Reach's game modes.
Among standard multiplayer modes such as Slayer and King of the Hill, Reach includes gametypes new to the franchise. In Headhunter, players drop skulls upon death, which other players can pick up and deposit at special zones for points. When a player dies all their accumulated skulls are dropped as well. Stockpile has teams race to collect neutral flags, holding them at capture points every minute for points. Generator Defense pits three Spartans against three Elites . The Elites' objective is to destroy three generators, while Spartans defend the installation. After every round the players switch roles. "Invasion" is a six versus six mode with 3 squads of two on each team. The gametype pits Spartans against Elites; Elites fight for control of territories to disable a shield guarding a navigation core; once the shield is disabled, they must transfer the core to a dropship—the Spartans must prevent this from happening. As the game progresses, new loadouts, vehicles, and areas of the map become open. Invasion is a lot like slayer where both teams goal is to reach a certain number of kills in the allotted time. Vehicles and weapons are unlocked by controlling a moving territory.
Alongside other multiplayer options is Firefight, a version of which appeared in Halo 3: ODST. In Firefight players take on increasingly difficult waves of foes in a game of survival. Players can customize Firefight options, including the number and types of enemies. It has also been announced that a firefight versus is playable in which there is an elite team trying to keep the spartan team from scoring points. Some game modes such as Generator Defense are playable in Firefight.

Halo: Reach CAMPAIGN

Halo: Reach! Its finally here! It came out on Tuesday and I have been able to play the campaign for couple hours since then. Personal review time!

I have played mostly the campaign and have gotten pretty far and so far I can say, things are different from Halo 3. Reach is very different in terms of looks, the Covenant now have a far more in depth military rankings that the previous Halos did not provide. There are now 2 different kinds of grunts, which is distinguishable by the hood they have on their backs that holds their breathing air and there are several different types of Elites, distinguishable by the type of armor and gadgets they use. This adds a little bit more realness in the game. The graphics are done amazingly well with very good detail. Unfortunately, there is an issue with Reach that wasn't in the other games: it's choppy. During cut scenes you will be able to see some plot development but it looks very strange, it almost has a ghost affect that is very distracting and makes the game feel different. Gameplay has also changed some ideas and kept some from previous Halo games.

Reach includes gameplay features from the other Halo games. From Halo: ODST there is no duel wielding as in ODST and they also kept the night vision. They did indeed bring back the scoped pistol which is very handy when dealing with grunts. Speaking of guns, Reach has plenty of new weapons and vehicles for you to enjoy. There are a lot of new weapons including: the Needle Rifle, a zoom rifle that is similar to the Needler primarily by Jackals; the Grenade Launcher, a powerful weapon that launches a grenade that can be remotely detonated; the Focus Rifle, Covenant rifle with up to 9.5x zoom fires a steady beam that destroys the enemy; the DMR, takes the BR's place with 3x zoom and single shot; the Concussion Rifle, takes the place of the Brute Shot firing plasma at your enemies; Target Locater, locks onto an enemy and unleashes hell from above; and the Plasma launcher, locks onto enemy and fires a max of 4 bolts of plasma at the target. Reach also has a bunch of new or different vehicles. Including the Revenant, a ghost like vehicle that fires plasma mortars takes the Choppers place; the Spirit, which is the drop ship that the Covenant use; and the Falcon, which replaces the Hornet with added transport capabilities for the crew and machine guns.

The new gadget system that Bungie used is brilliant! you can pick up 1 of 7 gadgets (Armor Lock, Drop Shield, Jet Pack, Sprint, Holographic Decoy, Active Camouflage, and Evade), When you have one of the gadgets you can use it as many times as you want but have to wait for it to charge up after every-time you use it,  You can even replace the one you have with ones you find on the maps! These gadgets a whole new level to the game as far as strategy goes.

After playing this game, i would still say it is a must have game, but i would say that i expected to much from it.

Halo: Reach

**I HAD NOT PLAYED THE GAME WHEN I WROTE THIS I GOT THIS INFO FROM RESEARCH, I will put up a new post after I played it on my opinion of the game**

September 14, 2010. Remember Reach!

That’s right! Halo: Reach is coming out this Tuesday! All of the campaign and custom game goodness you have come to love about this series is back!

Halo: Reach has done a magnificent job of staying true to the Halo franchise while still giving the game some of its own flare. It is a prequel to the original Halo trilogy loosely based on the novel "Halo: The Fall of Reach" by Eric Nylund.  The basic overview of the book is that kids were abducted at the age of 6 to be trained to be super warriors called Spartans; these Spartans are given extremely powerful drugs and were mutated to make them super human.  After several years of brutal training they were sent to their separate corners of the universe. One day a colony named Harvest is visited by the Covenant. This triggers the Human vs. Covenant wars. After much fighting the Covenant attack the last major UNSC stronghold Reach is attacked. Again, this is the pnly the books basic overview, I'm not sure if it will be the same int the game.  I will put up a post more on the history of Halo in a week or so.

One of the biggest changes: you AREN'T Master Chief! That’s right, this time you start out as a Spartan with the title, Noble 6, who is customizable to your likings. Stationed on Reach during the attack Noble 6 and the other Spartans fight back! Other changes are armor mods that allow you to use either a jet-pack, become invincible, or sprint for a short amount of time. That’s right. YOU CAN FLY!!!! It’s a nice touch to a Halo game. Of course, minor control differences from other Halo games. The Campaign will take an average gamer 9-10 hours to complete on the heroic difficulty setting and has some good old fashioned campaign level set ups with a few newer level layouts. Along with some new weapons! Such as the grenade launcher and needle rifle! And it gets better! Halo has brought back scoped pistols! YAY! Firefight is also back in reach, but now it’s customizable! You can change the difficulty for each individual player and the actual waves of Covenant

Reach also is coming out with forge world and Forge 2.0! Forge world comes complete with a vast area made for forge. It is somewhat similar to the map Valhalla in Halo 3 but with more water. Forge 2.0 pretty much took Forge from Halo 3 and fixed it. Everything that you bugged you, like two platforms not lining up right, or having to do a trick to keep the block in the sky is fixed! You get an upgraded inventory of possible objects to use and can do almost anything to them! Shove them into the sides of mountains or line them up with another section perfectly whatever you can think of! All of this is possible in Forge 2.0.

Halo: Reach is a MUST HAVE game!
